More About Me
Hi there! I'm Jodie Morgan, a passionate fiber artist, knitter, crocheter, and blogger with over 40 years of knitting and 17 years of crocheting experience. Currently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I'm originally from Melbourne, Australia. I was taught both crafts by my amazing Mum and my wonderful grandmother "Mama."
As a member of the Craft Industry Alliance, I love connecting with the knitting and crochet community. I share helpful resources, tips, and my latest creations on my blogs and social media. In my spare time, I enjoy coffee with cream and working on a fiber art project. These handmade gifts are perfect for the people I meet on my travels.
I studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where I met the love of my life, and later attended La Trobe University to earn my Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. I taught Food Technology (Home Economics) at a high school and developing a passion for growing organic vegetables and cooking. This led me to join the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, where I taught primary school children how to grow veggies and make delicious meals.
Now I dedicate myself to my fiber arts blogs full-time. I have hilarious memories, like the time Mum and I knitted a jumper together, only to find out our sleeves were different lengths! These experiences inspire me to share my journey with others. I'm always eager to try new techniques and designs. Please say hello!
